Speaker of the County Assembly Hon. Dominic Rono has lauded the collaboration between County Assemblies Committees in their work.Speaking during a benchmarking tour by Narok County Assembly Members of the Roads Committee, the Speaker noted that the collaboration will enhance good practices by committees in their roles. He advised the Committee to play a leading role in ensuring that the road network in their county especially the ones leading to Mara Game Reserve be brought up to standard to make them motorable. This, he noted, is because the Game Reserve is their main source of revenue.
Honourable Rono further advised them to plan their town well so that rampant flooding frequently experienced in the town becomes a thing of the past.
Majority Leader Hon. Hezron Ngetich thanked the Committee for picking on Kericho County for their visit saying that the county has invested heavily on improvement of road networks not only within the town but also in the rural areas.
He however regretted for the delays in the construction and maintenance of roads this financial year due to the ongoing heavy rains.
