The approval of the organizational structure and staff establishment was done via recommendations contained in a report of the committee on Governance, Labour and Social Welfare.The report was tabled on behalf of the committee by Hon. Anthony Rutto,MCA Kipkelion Ward and seconded by Hon. Alfred Cheruiyot, MCA Chepseon Ward.
The County Assembly noted that the organizational structure and staff establishment is a planning tool for recruitment and improved service delivery in Kericho County. The report recommends that for any position to be filled, it must first be approved by the County Assembly and be backed by budgetary provisions as a mandatory requirement. This will cushion the development expendituire in the County since personnel emoluments have increased over time.
The report further recommends strongly that any employment opportunity henceforth shall be given to the youth of the County as a priority. The County Assembly further recognizes the role played by the County Public Service Board and the County Executive in establishment of offices and calls upon the various stakeholders to own and domesticate the approved Kericho County Organizational Structure and Staff Establishment.
